Prisma Buurtband

In 2023, the Prisma Choir gave a star performance at the Amsterdam Roots Festival. This year, we invited the Prisma Neighborhood Band to open the festival—a wonderful ensemble of Amsterdammers with a mild intellectual disability.

We are very happy about our collaboration with Stichting Prisma. Like Amsterdam Roots, Prisma believes that everyone has the right to enjoy themselves and that people with a (mild) intellectual disability should be able to participate fully in society. For over 50 years, Prisma has organized various gatherings and activities for adults with intellectual disabilities in Amsterdam. The Prisma Neighborhood Band is a great example of this! A fantastic start to a wonderful festival day and a unique opportunity to see them perform live.
