Josimar Gomes

From a young age Josimar was surrounded by music, from traditional Cape Verdean music to (neo) soul and R&B. In his teenage years his examples were hip hop artists such as Outkast, Nas & Mos Def. It shaped Josimar Gomes into an artist who can express himself in all the genres in which he has his roots. He mixes them effortlessly and speaks out about love, self-acceptance but also social issues like the black experience in the world. Last year he released a number of singles, the summer love song: "Make My Heart Go!" but also the catchy afterparty track: "thinkin bout u".
