Create your own bag

With African Center

With a wide variety of fabrics, each more colorful than the last, and lots and lots of materials for endless decorating, you can create your own beautiful bags at this year's Amsterdam Roots Festival. Choose your favorite pieces of fabric and decorations, and design your very own personalized bag. And once you're finished: put your belongings right inside! The women from the African Center will be there to help you, and some of the fabric patches are already partially sewn. That way, everyone can quickly make a lovely bag to take home.
