Djembé Dramé
West African percussion and dance workshop
Moussé Dramé, born in Senegal, has been playing the djembé since he was five. From the age of fifteen, he performed as a percussionist with various percussion and dance groups across Africa and Europe. Now, he has been sharing his passion in the Netherlands for many years, giving djembé and dance lessons to enthusiastic groups.
The Amsterdam Roots Festival is a huge fan of Moussé and Turid, and invites them back every year. This year, you can once again join the thrilling Djembé Dramé workshop in Oosterpark. Let yourself be carried away by the invigorating rhythms and experience the energy that emerges when the sounds of the djembé meet the West African dance movements. Whether you are new or experienced, the workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich culture of West African percussion and dance.
