In his twenties Alogte Oho was hit on his motorcycle. While recovering in the hospital, he had an epiphany and wrote the iconic gospel song Mam Yinne Wa ("God, You Love Me So Much"). It became a huge hit in the Frafra scene in Northern Ghana

Max Weissenfeld of Philiphon records looked the artist up, which led to a widely acclaimed debut album. Alogte Oho is joined by a powerful female choir, appropriately named Sounds of Joy. Combined with tight horns and vintage keyboards, this formation guarantees an exhilarating live experience.
