It\u2019s for creators who either embrace traditions or give them a contemporary twist.<\/p>\n<p>Are you a creator and want to perform at <strong>Roots in Zuidoost X Amarte<\/strong>? Then this is your chance. For this program, we are looking for (new) voices from creators in and around Amsterdam. We invite musicians, dancers, circus performers, spoken word artists, and other creatives to apply!<\/p>\n<p><strong>When?<\/strong><br \/>\nSaturday, September 28, 2024<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where?<\/strong><br \/>\nAmsterdam Zuidoost<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who?<\/strong><br \/>\nCreators from Amsterdam and surroundings who want to present a new project<\/p>\n<p><strong>How?<\/strong><br \/>\nA jury consisting of a curator from Amsterdam Roots, Amarte Fonds, and an independent curator will select 4 to 5 projects from the submissions.<\/p>\n<p>The open call starts on <strong>July 23<\/strong> and closes on <strong>August 18<\/strong> at <strong>23:59<\/strong>. The selection will be announced on <strong>September 3.<\/strong> The selected creators who decide to participate will receive a fee of <strong>\u20ac320<\/strong> per person for their performance at the festival.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Upload your proposal by August 18, 23:59 via this<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1IRAp50un4AsiZ1hkKbUxGrDjupNzmidM7VQMGMKxdjs\/edit\"> form<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Important information for the application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are available on September 28 between 12:00 and 19:00.<\/li>\n<li>The performance will take place on an outdoor stage. Make sure your act is suitable for an open-air setting. A basic setup will be provided. Artists must bring their own instruments\/props.
