How to put down words music and melody? How could I set down a project keeping me from sleeping?
Amazigh's new album is an insomnia, in the shap of a manifesto: a manifesto for love, for revolution, for laughters, for dance, for sweat and for resistance. It matches with a special need to asses a human and an artistic 20 year-exile and bereavement, 20 years on the roads and on the scenes, 20 years of loneliness but also collective adventures. It is a re-birth in many ways: In an artistival and musical scope, this work focuses on voice and text, leaving a free space to instruments and interpretation. The aspect is rough and uses a great variety of ethnec sounds, brought out by modern tunes that unite in accord sensations and atmospheres from chaabi song to rai via gnawi, ragga, reggae, rock, electro or hip-hop.
